Jenny is the most dramatic friend I have. I mean that literally. She's a total drama queen with a capital Q! Just to give you an example, we were supposed to star in a theater production in Italy about two years ago. Without going into specifics, neither of us ended up on stage. The mise en scène: Jenny took an early flight home. I ended up spending majority of my time, at a hotel room, in Manfredonia while the others were in rehearsals. Okay, I'm a little dramatic, too. However, somewhere in between this mess, there exists footage of us discussing bra sizes like it's a science. There may also be a dance sequence, or two.
Anyway, Miss Hutton is getting married next year, so I thought I'd to share some of our (edited for content) correspondence since the announcement:
Jenny: You've been cordially invited to be a guest at my wedding...let me know if there's any specific function you'd like to be assigned to;)
Me: I want to be the person who samples the cakes before the event. What's that called?
Jenny: I think I can handle that on my own hehe...
Me: I was afraid that would be the answer.
Jenny: So are you coming to the wedding?
Me: Well that depends on the cake!
Jenny: For your information, the seats are limited so you should be honoured!
Me: You've become a bit bitchy since you turned blonde.
Jenny: Hahaha! You're the best!
Yes, she's dyed - is that right word? - bleached! her hair blonde. It's pretty. I'll write more on that, and her, in conjuction to a movie that I intend to watch as soon as I get my act together. And I know that curiousity is killing you right now! Alright, I'll give you a hint, the protagonist (or antagonist) in the film, and, I share the same birthday in June.
To be continued...

Despite the book, the musical, the movie and now your blog post, I don't think gentlemen _really_ prefer blondes. But post a pic of the blonde version of Jenny and I'll give you a candid opinion. =)
ReplyDeleteNice post; it's great to have friends like that! You also gave me the great idea to do a post on wedding cakes. A perfect topic.
Cheers!
