A Bad Mama Jama

My friend Shay, doesn't know that I've gone and ripped this photo from her profile page (courtesy of "The Social Network"). I couldn't resist. It had to be done. I absolutely adore this movie star, "I will sit on the hood of a car, and rule the world" vintage photo of her mom.

How come our parents (at any age) look way better than us? Really, what's up with that? Generations X and Y - they need to shape up, I'll tell ya.

But, my friend Shay is a stylish cat. We're supposed to attend the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans (at-some-point-in-time-this-century) together. Actually, I've invited myself to tag along, as she goes every year.I hear that the undead walk among the living in New Orleans. And that the city offers guided vampire tours of select areas. "Shay, can we go on a complementary cemetary tour when we visit NOLA?"

Shay shakes her head and deletes me from her friend's list*.

*Joke.

  3. Your friend's mum is gorgeous. She reminds me of the actresses from the Blaxploitation era. I'm guessing that's what you meant with the movie star reference? I see Dorothy Danderidge too.

You got deleted! I offer my deepest sympathy;P
