WHERE WERE YOU BORN AND RAISED?
I was born in Colchester, Essex and was raised there until I went to boarding school in Ascot, Berkshire aged 11.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FONDEST CHILDHOOD MEMORIES?
Swimming in our pool after school in the summer, with a gaggle of friends, before having a tea party in the garden; climbing in the tree house my brother had just built, aided by a 24 pack of Diet Cokes, in 48 hours straight; making puppets out of egg crates with all my family and cousins in our house in Scotland; taking off my top as my two older sisters put cream over all of my chicken pox; all memories with my older siblings, essentially.

WHAT CITY DO YOU PRESENTLY CALL HOME?
London.

THE THREE BEST THINGS ABOUT WHERE YOU LIVE, ARE?
The sense of history, the culture, the familiarity and food.

WHEN DID YOU GET STARTED IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY?
I went into journalism aged 23, a year after I left uni (college) and it segued into a more fashion-type place aged 25.

WHAT IS YOUR EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND?
I went to a convent boarding school, then to Leeds University, where I studied English Literature.

WHAT DOES A NORMAL WORK DAY LOOK LIKE?
There is no normal day! But it typically involves a lot of reading, a lot of e-mails, meetings, bouncing ideas off one another.

HOW DO YOU STAY UPDATED ON THE CURRENT TRENDS AND WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
I read a lot - magazines, blogs, websites, social media. I collect a lot of magazines and look at archive shoots. Anything inspires me really; definitely creative people.

YOU ARE HAILED FOR YOUR PERSONAL STYLE, WHERE DO YOU SHOP AND WHAT ARE YOUR STAPLE WARDROBE ESSENTIALS?
I am a big online shopper. I hang out on Net-a-Porter.com and MatchesFashion.com a lot! IRL, I love Celine on Mount Street, & Other Stories and Topshop's flagship store in Oxford Circus. They have a great vintage section. I also like Beyond Retro, Rokit and Nasty Gal for vintage.

WHAT BEAUTY ROUTINE DO YOU SWEAR BY?
I use Avene facial wash and La Roche Posay moisturizer, and I love NARS make-up.

ANY HOBBIES AND WHAT DO YOU DO TO MAINTAIN OR REGAIN YOUR ZEN?
I am not very Zen. I wish I was! My husband's the Zen half of us. But I love reading - Sundays I typically spend four to five hours reading all the papers, magazines I've bought throughout the week and whichever novel I am on at that time - getting a good night's sleep, a long bath or for a treat, a massage.
