WHERE WERE YOU BORN AND RAISED AND WHERE DO YOU PRESENTLY LIVE?
Kingston, Jamaica, Up-Park Camp, then Sherlock Crescent Duhaney Park. Presently a world citizen.

WHAT ARE THE TOP THINGS ABOUT YOUR CITY AND WHAT’S THE CLUB SCENE LIKE?
Kingston is a melting pot with a heavy Jamaican lifestyle. But almost any kinda party you want you can get it there…Almost.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR BEST CHILDHOOD MEMORIES AND WHAT WERE YOUR ASPIRATIONS GROWING UP?
Not many childhood memories outside of sports and girls, and hunting money! I started at a very early age.

WHAT HAS BEEN A PIVOTAL MOMENT?
Most important moment; when my brother said, “Weh yuh seh music straight?” And I said, “Ye Dawg”. Life changed forever. RIP Delus.

WHY MUSIC?
I've always been a huge fan and dependent on music to get through every day of my life. I just wanted to whatever my big bro was doing.

FIRST SONG EVER SONG?
“Pon di Corner”. It became a huge hit in Japan and Europe.

HOW WOULD YOU CLASSIFY YOUR SOUND?
My sound is mood. I just recently realized that what really sets me apart is I have the great ability to adjust my sound to fit whatever mood I am in, or whatever mood I want the song to be in.

WHO OR WHAT HAS INFLUENCED YOU THE MOST ARTISTICALLY?
Still haven’t figured that out fully. I would say, stages of my life.

IS THERE A SONG OR MUSICAL PASSAGE THAT NEVER FAILS TO MOVE YOU EMOTIONALLY?
Almost everything moves me. I’m a mess.

(10) WHAT IS YOUR CREATIVE PROCESS?
Whatever it takes to get in the zone. Sometimes it’s the energy in the room, what’s going on in my life, alcohol, fear of going broke, or just being excited about doing music as “work”. After that, there are no rules in the actual process.

DO YOU PURSUE ANY SPECIFIC THEMES THROUGH YOUR LYRICS?
No. I like balance in life though.

WHAT DO YOU GET UP TO WHEN YOU’RE NOT IN THE STUDIO?
Family!

HOW DO YOU STAY FOCUSED AND IN THE PRESENT?
See the response to question 10. I love this for real.
