WHERE ARE YOUR RIGHT NOW AND HAVE YOU ALWAYS LIVED THERE?
I'm in Paris for the summer and I'm moving to Vienna, Austria in September. I'm orginally from Brittany, France. I have always travelled and always lived abroad. I just returned from a four years expatriation in Vietnam (two years in Hanoi and two years in Saigon). I returned to France in 2017 to deliver my first child and will leave in a months time.
WHERE WERE YOU BORN AND RAISED?
I was born in Brittany and grew up in Rennes, Brittany.
WHAT'S THE BEST THING ABOUT YOUR CITY OR HOME TIME?
It's nice to be by the sea. The coast is wild and beautiful, although it's not beautiful in Brittany, the character of the region is fresh and pleasant. Boats, cliffs, seafood...The people are great fun and you can easily go on weekends to wander around and recharge, rent an Airbnb for 15 buddies and have barbecues.
WHAT WERE YOUR ASPIRATIONS GROWING UP?
Like a sailor on his boat, I've always had the call of the sea, the desire to leave, to travel, to disvover the world. The stories of adventure, Corto Maltese, the pirates and privateers have always facsinated me. I like to go on an adventure.
WHY MEDIA?
A series of circumstances in Vietnam led me to purchase an online magazine. A French news site for expats. I had my first experience as an entrepreneur and journalist. I loved it. Thanks to this experience, I developed my communication skills and met many people with varied profiles. It made me want to continue once out of Vietnam, but in my own way. And above all, I wanted to create a media that I would like to read myslf: a light media that presents unusual things about countries in a serious manner, without falling into stupid infotainment.
WHEN DID YOU START THE SITE "LE FIL ROUGE"?
I started on February 1, 2017.
WHAT TOPICS DO YOU COVER?
Arts and culture, travell, science, people the blogosphere...It's tagline is “Eclectic media for awake and curious people”.
WHAT'S YOUR EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND?
I studied law for five years and obtained a masters degree in Environment and Urbanization. After that I took a new direction as it wasn't what I wanted to do.
WHAT DO YOU GET UP TO WHEN YOU'RE NOT WORKING?
I take care of my baby who is two months old. I walk a lot with him in a stroller. I also loveeeing my friends for a drink and I like to read and watch movies when I have time.
HOW DO YOU UNDWIND?
I love to go on weekends with friends or family, or to go abroad for four to five days: a European capital, a cultural city, a mini seaside stay or in the mountains, I disconnect completely and forget about the site and the notifications I receive on my phone. I'm completely disconnected mentally. It feels good.
