WHERE WERE YOU BORN AND RAISED AND WHERE DO YOU LIVE NOW?
I was born in North London but grew up in Bournemouth. But been back living in London my whole adult life.

WHAT'S THE BEST THING ABOUT YOUR PRESENT CITY OR YOUR HOMETOWN?
I miss the sea in Bournemouth - I was very lucky growing up by the coast. I even wrote a song about it ("The Sea and Me"). However you can't beat London Town! Especially regarding music opportunities. I also love going out and socialising in London. There is always something to do or see any day of the week.

WHAT WERE YOUR INFANT ASPIRATIONS?
I always wanted to perform. I grew up in quite a musical family and started dance lessons when I was two.

WHAT HAS BEEN A PIVOTAL MOMENT?
I have had a few milestone moments in my career. I'd say when I played Glastonbury Festival for BBC. Introducing was the start of some big things music wise...

WHY MUSIC?
I love writing songs. I love performing. I love how music can affect people.

WHY NEO-SOUL?
I listened to a lot of R&B and Hip Hop when I was young - probably my older brother's influence. I think when I started writing my own songs, I naturally went with a soulful vibe and groove led beats.

WHAT THEMES DO YOU PURSUE THROUGH YOUR LYRICS?
I can only write about things I have experienced so often my subject matter is to do with love, relationships, career etc.

IS THERE A SONG OR MUSICAL PASSAGE THAT NEVER FAILS TO MOVE YOU EMOTIONALLY?
"A Different Corner" by George Michael is one pf my favourite songs of all time. It's such a beautiful melody and the lyrics are really emotive

WHAT OR WHO HAD THE GREATEST INFLUENCE ON YOU?
Music -taste wise - definitely my big brother. he got me into Hip Hop and R&B when I was very little.

WHAT’S YOUR CREATIVE PROCESS?
Depends. sometimes I start with lyrics (in fact I have a lot of lyrics I have written which haven't made it into any songs yet!), sometimes I start at the piano and play around with some chords - and other times it starts with a melody idea.

HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE?
Musically, I define it as Neo-Soul.

HOW DOES YOU AESTHETIC TRANSLATE IN OTHER ASPECTS OF YOUR LIFE?
I love clothes. I like vintage looks and mixing it up. I like going to nice places where you have to dress up. And always like choosing what outfit I'm going to wear for each gig!

ANY BEAUTY RITUALS YOU SWEAR BY?
I have curly hair so hair products are very important to me! Otherwise, I try and moisturise as much as possible.

HOW DO YOU SPEND A DAY OFF?
I barely have a day off, when I do I like to watch TV and relax as it is rare that I'm at home.

HOW DO YOU STAY MINDFUL?
I try and stay positive and put things in perspective. Being in music is very up and down, a lot of highs and lows. And because it is a creative/personal thing, you feel more emotionally attached to every aspect of it.
