NEW YORK, NEW YORK, CAN YOU TELL US ALL ABOUT IT?
It's such a cliché but I'm so in love with this place. I actually have date days and nights where I spend time alone in the city wandering the streets, window shopping and grabbing something to eat at the amazing restaurants. Every time I look up and see the Empire State-, or the Flatiron Building, I smile.

YOU RECENTLY WRAPPED THE MOVIE "DAYS OF POWER" WITH ERIC ROBERTS. WHAT WAS THAT EXPERIENCE LIKE?
It was great shooting “Days of Power” - real fun with a talented cast and crew. And I got to spend a lot of time with dogs which is my favourite animal.
The film has a strong message about how you shouldn't buy dogs from puppy mills, but rather adopt. It's based on actual events and I play the lead, a Swiss singer called, Milow the Girl. It was fun being a rock star.

WHY ACTING?
Filmmaking is art and I love being a part of creating beautiful art. I think it's wonderful to be able to tell a story that leaves the viewer with something that makes them think.

WHAT CHALLENGES HAVE YOU FACED IN YOUR CHOSEN CAREER?
Dealing with jealousy and people talking about you behind your back. Now I'm alone in another country and the struggle is even harder. Eventually I think it will pay off. There are many productions here; if you're talented, reliable and pour your soul into your work, it will get you somewhere.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIE AND WHY?
There are so many. I love “Dogville” and other films by Lars Von Trier. “Pulp Fiction” among others by Quentin Tarantino. “Eyes Wide Shut”, “The Shining”, “A Clockwork Orange” by Stanley Kubrick. I love Italian classics by Pasolini and Fellini. And “The Godfather”, “Taxi Driver”, “The Departed”... the list goes on and on.

A good film called Force Majeure by Swedish director Ruben Östlund premiered at Cannes this year. I’d love to be part of a masterpiece like that and all the other movies I mentioned.

CAN YOU NAME THREE PEOPLE YOU ADMIRE?
My brother, Marilyn Monroe, and anyone who stands up for animals.

IN ADDITION TO BEING AN ACTRESS YOU RUN A SUCESSFUL EVENT COMPANY. HOW DO YOU FIND THE TIME TO DO BOTH IN TWO DIFFERENT GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATIONS?
It's a bit stressful at times, often too much to do. At the same time I want to be successful and there are no short cuts, you have to work hard.

SOMEONE ONCE SAID "PUT SOME WINGS ON THAT KID" IN RELATION TO YOUR TRAVELS. IF YOU HAD WINGS WHAT ANIMAL WOULD YOU BE?
Hmm, I see myself as different kinds of animals, neither of them can fly. I think owls are magnificent, I'd pick one of them.

YOU'RE ALSO A VEGAN, WHERE'S THE BEST PLACE TO GET GOOD VEGAN FOOD IN NYC?
This city is vegan heaven with many great places. My favorite places are: Peacefood Café, Candle 79, Candle Café, Pure Food &Wine, One Lucky Duck, Quintessence, Rockin' Raw, Blossom, V-note, Sacred Chow, Bliss Café, Angelica's Kitchen and Beyond Sushi.
I use an app called Happy Cow, it shows you nearby vegetarian/vegan restaurants, cafés and shops. Wherever I am in the world I  can locate veg food.

HOW DO YOU STAY FIT WITH SUCH CLEAR SKIN WHEN YOU HAVE BEEN REWARDED BY A RESTAURANT FOR BEING ONE OF THE FEW PEOPLE WHO'S TASTED ALL THE DESSERTS ON THEIR MENU?
That was so funny, that restaurant actually gave me a gift for having tasted all of their 20 desserts. I always taste everything on the menu, but they usually don't notice it.

I take very good care of my skin because I have acne prone skin. I use the best products and do four steps twice a day plus scrubs and masks during the week. A vegan diet is best for your body too, so that helps. I should drink more water though, I'm terrible at that.

I used to go horseback riding every day. With moving around in different countries, I haven't had time to find a new stable. I do miss it a lot. In Sweden I would go to the gym four to five times a week for spinning, boxing, Afro dance and other classes. I've been so busy in the States that unfortunately I haven't been working out at all. I walk a lot though.

TOTALLY RANDOM BUT, CAN YOU GIVE US A WORD OR SENTENCE IN ITALIAN TO SAY TO A PERSON WHO'S GETTING ON YOUR LAST NERVE?
Ma quanto sei fastidioso, lasciami in pace!
