DOES WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS, STAY IN VEGAS?
I got married there and it was true, then I came back a few weeks ago for a big gig in downtown Vegas. It’s definitively an interesting place to stay. There’s a bunch of crazy and adventurous people
WHAT HAPPENED IN VEGAS?
I did a painting on one of the main streets representing three girls waiting to kick ass. They are three characters from my next comic. We had a lift, and now I have a OSHA permit which allows me to go up in those dangerous tools and paint big ass walls. We painted, under the sun, with my assistant Noelle, on such a scale. Under that kind of extreme weather our job looked like more of a construction type of work less than an artistic one. In a few years time, I’d like to create on those walls but to have boys and girls painting them for me.
WHERE WERE YOU BORN AND RAISED AND WHAT ARE THE BEST THINGS ABOUT THE PLACE WHERE YOU GREW UP?
I’m born and raised in Toulouse. best things here is Cassoulet (a dish with beans and sausage) and rugby. I tried to make things move a little bit there last year by creating an art festival, but the city didn’t give a damn. We didn’t reconduct.
WHERE DO YOU LIVE NOW?
In Paris with my son. Weirdly, it was the last city on earth I wanted to live in, but love brought me there. Now, I love it and I hate it. I see myself in the countryside very soon, drawing alone in the stillness of nature and running naked in open fields.
WHY STREET ARTIST?
Because it mixes art and forbidden things. The last theme was really what I was looking forward to when I was 18 years old. Art was a pretext to go out and live a parallel life.
HOW DID YOU ACQUIRE THE SKILL?
The skill was null when I started, and is now a pursuit of perfection.
HAVE YOU HAD MOMENTS WHERE YOU WERE HASSLED BY THE POLICE?
Of course, but they love me. One of my main characteristic is my adaptation skills, one hour after they arrest me they want me to paint their offices and replace the ninja posters on their wall.
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE GRAFITTI SCENE WHERE YOU CURRENTLY LIVE?
I'm too old for that shit. But I’d love to go tagging with youngster and a fire extinguisher.
WHAT ASPECTS OF POP CULTURE INFLUENCE YOUR WORK?
The way that it can be inclusive without being snobbish.
WHO ARE THE ARTISTS YOU LOOK YOU TO?
Apollonia Saintclair and RayReeg.
WHAT THEMES DO YOU PURSUE THROUGH YOUR ART?
In my next comic, I'm talking about friendship, nonreciprocal love, hustle, being a single mum and widow - which sums up my last years in a very short line.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE?
Mixing and matching things that off set, and not buying big fast or cheap brands.
ON WHAT HUSTLE DOES ONE NEED TO BE ON TO BUY YOUR CLOTHES AS THEY ARE ALWAYS SOLD OUT?
Follow the guidelines!
ANY HOBBIES?
Watching my son listen to gangsta rap, and him growing up.
IS THE WORLD A CANVAS?
This world is way too hard a place to live. We are fools.
