Photographed By Ellinor Forje
These are additional photos from the Andy and Debb showroom, I attended (right beforeI ran into God) in New York last year. You can view some of the pieces in colour here.
Although I love attending the live runway shows, I'm finding that I'm slowly developing a preference for the showrooms. Of course, in the aforementioned events, there's an energy and electricity that can't be matched by people standing still on a podium. But when you're struggling to snap images for posterity, a motionless object can't be rivaled by a model, on the run, gone in 60 seconds.
love thew black and white, very dramatic

It's true though, because you can study the piece of clothing closer, but I still think that it has a small resemblense to the POW of a fashionshow!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by!
Love Despite color
Lucky you!! I like the photos :-)

thank you so much for your comment!!
ReplyDeleteawesome blog you have here!
I don't know why but not only are the models standing on these platforms kinda a cool way to show off the clothes but I also find it kinda creepy :) Maybe it's the black and white photos too but reminds me of a Tales from the Dark Side episode where a manniquin comes to life. hehehe it's creeping fabulous! Thanks so much for your comment on my blog! Visit again soon :)

This had to be a very interesting show, they look almost like clones. I think black & white photos are so cool and these are quite nice.
ReplyDeletewhat I like about these is the simple, black and white aesthetic - and they have a beautifully sombre tone.
ReplyDeletethanks for dropping by my little space.
If they put a smile on their face, the models would look so much better. They are there to celebrate fashion and instead they look awful, they don't encourage me to buy the clothes, not one bit. This is one of my problems with fashion today, the runways are the same: fashion has lost its fun. Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by my blog. :) Ada
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful clothes, I love the slightly edgy preppy look of the whole collection

ReplyDeleteThese are great photos in that they're dramatic, but is it just me or do the models look sleepy? Lol.

ReplyDeleteI love these clothes, especially the deep deep V neck and prints! I've never been to a showroom, hopefully it'll happen someday. The thrill of a live runway show IS pretty damn exciting though, but it'd be great to be able to actually study the pieces more closely.
ReplyDeleteCheers!

i'd have to agree with you about showrooms. runway shows have so much adrenaline and excitement, but showrooms give you a first hand experience with the clothes, and let you observe and appreciate the quality and craftsmanship.
ReplyDeleteand i'd have to agree with the girl above me, love love that dress in the 3rd pic! minimalistic chic at its best
xxo
