WHERE ARE YOU RIGHT NOW AND HAVE YOU ALWAYS LIVED THERE?
I live in Los Angeles now. I moved here a few years ago. Before, I was living in Germany for the most part and had lived in the UK and the USA for briefer periods of time.

WHERE WERE YOU BORN AND RAISED?
I was born and raised near Berlin in Germany.

WHAT'S THE BEST THING ABOUT YOUR CITY OR HOMETOWN?
Berlin offers a lot of history. I love going to the operas, museums, theaters, and parks.

WHAT WERE YOUR ASPIRATIONS GROWING UP?
I’ve always wanted to be the voice for the voiceless. When I was little I felt like something was not right with the way we were told to eat. I knew that eating animals was wrong, so I stopped at age nine. People back then were surprised by my decision but I knew it wasn’t right and I felt bad because I started imagining real life animals in front of me. So, I couldn’t contribute to this cruelty any longer. I’ve always hoped to become recognizable or have a bigger audience in order to spread the word about animal rights, environment, and veganism. I’m still working on it. Haha! I love entertaining people with music, art, and acting. Nowadays, I know that when I was little and trying to find my purpose, I actually already found it but just didn’t know it.

WHY THE CREATIVE FIELD (EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO)?
The best thing about letting yourself be creative is that you lose your ego, just be fearless and express yourself in ways that might even surprise you. I love singing, playing piano, drawing, acting, and modeling. Why I do all of this? Because the world needs art and everyone is an artist. You just have to allow yourself to be one. I want to spread my message about how important it is to have love, compassion, and happiness through art.

HOW DID YOU ACQUIRE YOUR SKILLS?
When talking about my drawing skills - they're self-taught. Ever since I was a child, I loved drawing animals, mostly as cartoons. It gave me a way to add light-heartedness to all of the sadness that revolves around the treatment of animals.

WHEN DID YOU START YOUR SHOP ON ETSY?
I started my Etsy store very recently, at the beginning of the year 2018. Right now, I’m selling shirts, mugs, and totes.

WHAT IS YOUR PROCESS FROM CONCEPT TO CREATION?
When getting into the creative space you need to be vulnerable. It takes tears, frowns and laughter to get into the depth of very serious matters. I start drawing whenever I feel overwhelmed, anxious, and sad; sometimes happy. It takes me into another place where I can finally find relief from all of that. I don’t have a certain process. I just come up with ideas. Sometimes, I hear facts about animal cruelty, see or dream about it.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
When choosing to be specific about what inspires me, I can sincerely say that hard-working, honest, truthful, and authentic people who care about other beings inspire me. One of the most inspiring people is my mother. She has a huge heart, is filled with wisdom and is always there for me whenever I need her. She showed me what is means to be strong and how to inspire others by finding your own power.

HOW DOES YOUR AESTHETIC TRANSLATE ELSEWHERE?
Ever since learning more about the fashion industry in terms of animal treatment and labor conditions, I have started to become more conscious of it and try to invest more into companies nowadays that are ethical, vegan, organic, and sustainable. I love going to nicer thrift stores and finding vintage items as well. Lately, I haven’t had that much time to go shopping because of work and study. Whenever I have the opportunity, however, I try to focus more on brands that align with my vegan lifestyle.

WHAT DO YOU GET UP TO WHEN YOU'RE NOT WORKING?
I get up to the sun on my skin and the licks of my little doggy in my face, I get up to just wanting to eat breakfast and enjoying the first minutes of the day in silence. Just doing nothing and feeling like I don’t have to be there for anyone else right now but for myself is what I love.

HOW DO YOU UNWIND?
I unwind by just seeking to be present, by going to places where I don’t have to talk to people, where I can just listen to the nature, to the wind, watch birds pick food. That is how I love to meditate. In the evenings, I love practicing yoga.
